1. Nature of this service
Slovak Roots Navigator is an organizational tool — a workspace that helps you gather, structure, and keep track of the information and documents involved in a Slovak citizenship-by-descent case. It provides forms, checklists, storage, timelines, letter templates, and legislation references so you can see what has been collected, what is missing, and what to do next.
The app owner does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, legal representation, notarization, translation, apostille services, or any regulated professional service through this site. Nothing on this site should be understood as a recommendation to file, not file, or take any specific action in your citizenship matter. Decisions about your case are yours to make, ideally with a qualified attorney and the relevant Slovak authorities.
In particular, Slovak Roots Navigator does not:
- evaluate whether you actually qualify for Slovak citizenship;
- guarantee that any document, letter, or packet the app generates will be accepted;
- submit filings, pay fees, or communicate with any authority on your behalf;
- replace a lawyer, notary, sworn translator, registrar, embassy, or ministry.
2. No legal advice
Content on this site — including the eligibility wizard, checklists, generated request letters, legislation excerpts, and any AI-assisted output — is provided for general informational and organizational purposes only. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney who is licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Slovak citizenship law changes and is applied on a case-by-case basis by the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic and by consular officers. Always verify current eligibility requirements, document requirements, and procedures with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, or a qualified attorney before relying on anything from this site or submitting an application.
3. No attorney-client relationship
Using this site, creating an account, uploading documents, inviting collaborators, or communicating with the app owner does not create an attorney-client relationship. Attorneys and translators invited as collaborators act under their own professional relationships with you, not through Slovak Roots Navigator.
4. Accuracy of generated content
Templates, request letters, and any AI-assisted summaries may be incomplete, out of date, or contain errors. Review every generated document before sending it to a registry, court, embassy, or other authority. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit.
5. Privacy overview
Slovak Roots Navigator handles your case data as follows:
- Account scoping. Case data, family-line entries, uploaded documents, and generated letters are scoped to your account with row-level security.
- Document uploads. Files are stored in a private vault, malware-scanned at upload time, and served only through signed URLs. Files flagged by the scanner are quarantined.
- Collaborators. When you invite an owner, editor, attorney, or translator to your case, they can access the case data you share with them under the role you assigned.
- Audit log. Rejected upload attempts and certain security events are logged so you can review activity on your case.
- Authentication. Sign-in is handled through the app's authentication provider; passwords are never stored in plain text.

6. Third-party services
The app relies on third-party infrastructure for hosting, authentication, storage, and malware scanning. Those providers process data only as needed to operate the service. No third party is authorized to use your case data for advertising or profiling.
7. No warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The app owner does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information on this site, and is not responsible for outcomes of any application, filing, or decision made by a Slovak or foreign authority.
